Sounded great. I use "dinosaur" to check it out.
Very nice. This system sounds like a $1000 system from ten years ago.
Does a real nice job of up converting. The only issue I had was the anylink deal.
It is such a finicky pain in the foot that I disabled it in the TV. Looked great.
Cool little subwoofer.
I assumed that I had one but the satelite installer had used it to connect the satelite to the TV. It arrived with a CD. Easy to put together but it did not come with a manual. I ended up paying $32.00 at Best Buy for a cable I could have had from Amazon for $6 or less.I have a new Samsung TV and had hoped I would be able to feed the audio from the TV through the theater speakers. I ended up printing the owner's manual from the Samsung website. Make sure you order an HDMI cable from Amazon. I'm sure there's a way to do it but the woman at the Samsung help line was as dumb as a bag of hammers and wasn't able to help.I really didn't need a 5 disc holder but I guess it's OK. Sound and video quality are excellent.
awesome sound. I have had it for a year and works great with the exception of the newer apple ipods, the system cannot read my nano ipod. after looking thru the manual it actually states that it will not work with some newer version ipods.BUMMER
Paid over $350 for a piece of junk. Put the whole thing in the trash and will never buy Samsung again.
I bought a HT-Z410T 5.1 HTS. The picture was not centered on my TV.
Samsung does not stand behind their product. Reps I talked to all see problem, but no help offered.
After sending it back 3 times for repair, they say there is nothing wrong with it. So, I sent them picturs of the TV screen while playing a DVD.
Very poor support of their products. Stay away from Samsung.
'Cause from the box to the first part of the instructions to the sales guy it seemed like it could do what I wanted, but then you get into the fine print and find out it can't pull it off. I wish I had spent more money and got something that could do the job.
Here is the short version:IF - you are looking for a system that will effectively play regular DVD's in almost true HD picture with their surround sound than this should be effective for you - or at least as effective as a HT In a box at this price point can be.IF - you are looking at this to be a surround system you can use with an additional player. Alas - this was the wrong product to buy for me.
I'm disappointed in the features and flexibility of this product. say a PS3 or other Blu Ray player then you will be disappointed.
It only has one input for outside systems and it doesn't produce true surround sound for those systems but tries to "fake it" with some built in software that does a mediocre job. So why crap on this one.
My iPod doesn't sound that great on it either and I can't get to podcasts using the software provided.
